The Hijab in pre and post Islamic era and the respect for women:
Before the arrival of Islam there was no real concept of Hijab or veil for women and In the pre-Islamic days, women were treated with great indignity not just in the Middle East but all over the world women rights were non existent. There was no religion, which allowed them equality and furthermore women were not given any right in the inheritance of family wealth. In the Arab culture women were more treated as slaves an something look down upon and from authentic sources girl babies were buried alive. With the arrival of Islam it gave women rights which were unparalleled in the history of man.
